It would have been amazing to be at the @bellyuptavern this weekend, breaking my COVID concert fast at @stevepoltz 13th annual 50th birthday bash. But I’m grateful for the consolation. Steve’s new album Stardust & Satellites arrived in the mail today. Looking forward to putting this one into heavy rotation. Happy birthday, Steve.

Fourth quarter. The Bengals are holding on, so far. Needed to go out and look at the waxing Snow Moon to find a little calm.

Tonight’s Waxing Moon

Here’s tonight’s moon over East Dundee, Illinois, February 12, 2022. Waxing its way toward full. February’s full moon is known as the Snow Moon or the Storm Moon. What’s in a name? This year, the moon will reach full on February 16, the same night a winter storm is expected to hit our neighborhood, dropping up to six inches. Wonder if I’ll be able to see the moon through the falling snow?

Pound for pound, Lulu makes me happier and brings more laughter than any of our other dogs or any dog I’ve ever known. She’s in pain at times and has multiple medical challenges, but it never slows her down. She’s a great example for me.
